z28kevdog Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 hi all, this is my first post after reading countless threads on the topic. all of the sudden when i try and burn either a Data Disk or a DVD-Video i keep getting the same error message. but the thing is that even after i get the error it still completes the burn and says "Operation Completed Successfully." But the disk is unreadable and causes my system to hang and the DVD player cant read it. ive been using these Memorex DVD-R's for years with no problems and for the past 6 months with ImgBurn with no problems, so im not sure what is causing this sudden problem. ive also updated firmware as well. below is the log I 18:31:17 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! Cynthia Posted July 12, 2009 Share Posted July 12, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, z28kevdog! Tried another speed - like 8x? Might be that the laser beam is dirty and you need to run a cleaning disc in it. You should have the Verify option enabled, to ensure that the write was good.
