Does it say "Invalid or unsupported image file format" when you load it in Write mode? How big is it?

That image is supposed to be written to a floppy disk. You can burn it to a bootable CD/DVD:

  • in ImgBurn's Build mode, go to the Advanced tab then Bootable Disc tab;
  • enable Make Image Bootable;
  • in Emulation Type choose Floppy Disk (1.44 MB);
  • click the folder icon in the Boot Image field and select your .img file;
  • click the Write button to burn your bootable disc (use a rewritable disc if you have one).
