Hey I have a problem with burning a file to a Dual Layer (verbatim) disc

It stops at 3% and says I/O error

here my log:

What type of machine (brand/make) did that drive come in? It doesn't have a firmware version we have listed on firmwarehq.com

 

It's quite an old drive now, maybe it's just not so great on the newer 8x Verbs?

 

Have you tried a cleaning disc in the drive?

 

Have you tried burning at the other supported speed - i.e. 4x?

 

You might have more luck with the 2.4x Verbs (MKM-001-00 dye).

 

Failing that, buy a new drive.

I tried it on 4x now it says Set L0 Data Zone Capacity Failed!

Reason: Power Calibration Area Error

 

And what do you mean with cleaning disc in the drive?

What I mean is:

 

Have you tried cleaning the drive with a cleaning disc?

 

If you can't find MKM-001-00 anywhere (and cleaning the drive doesn't fix anything), buy a new drive.
