cswan Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Hi, I am using ImBurn through DVD flick and everytime i got to the burning section error messages came up. So I converted the files through DVD flick and tried Burning using ImgBurn alone. I've tried using different discs, from memorex -R to Sony +R. I've tried using a different burning software and dont work and cant find any firmwire uprades When i try to burn small video clips 5-10min it works fine but when i go to 60-100min+ It fails. I think its my drive but before I buy a new one anyone else have any suggestions??? I 19:18:43 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 19:18:43 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition (6.0, Build 6000) I 19:18:43 Total Physical Memory: 1,046,464 KB - Available: 325,048 KB I 19:18:43 Initialising SPTI... I 19:18:43 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 19:18:43 Found 1 DVD
Cynthia Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, cswan! It happens also if you burn at 8x write speed?
mmalves Posted July 26, 2009 Posted July 26, 2009 Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive to see if it helps.
cswan Posted July 27, 2009 Author Posted July 27, 2009 8x is what i use when I use DVD flick. It uses ImgBurn so im sure it'll ive a error message again. I've just got a new drive using argos's 30 money back gaurentee so if it works with that then its defo the drive. If my lens was dirty could it do short DVD's and not long then?? i'll try that it if i found it to be my drive. Thanks
