Discs burned with Windows Vista hang constantly

Discs are burned in my desktop (Windows Vista) without error messages. Yet during playback, they stop and hang continually. On that account, I have been burning on my laptop (Windows XP) without a problem and the playback is flawless. Is there something I should know about ImgBurn and Windows Vista I should know?

(Also, if I'am streaming video or audio, the stream hiccups if anything downloads. If I were burning a disc, would the hiccup cause eventually the playback to hang?)

Thanks for any help.

As a control, I burned the same project in my laptop which runs XP and the result was flawless.

The log below corresponds to the bad results on my desktop running Vista.

Same crappy playback results if you burn at 8x?

That the results are better with your laptop might be for the reason that even if you get no errors in the posted log - the burn can still be a joke. Only a scanning would show that. So it might be that the burner in the laptop likes Ritek media better.

This is an example.

The log shows no errors - but the burn is in fact a joke.
