Extremely slow burning issue - out of the blue

This may - or may not - be related to the SPTD warning, but I doubt it.

In the past week, I'm suddenly unable to burn DVDs at >2.7s on a pioneer 115D that until then was quite happy writing at 16-18x . Same media, from the same spindle.

It takes up to 25mins to burn a DVD-R, seemingly the system isnt sending data to the device fast enough as imgburn shows the device buffer emptying...

Any ideas where to even start troubleshooting this. DaemonTools is installed, but has been for since the system was built (its a stock option on my nlite install). Cant think of anythign that has been installed, or even updated).

OS is XP64, 6GB RAM, and has worked just fine. Until now. Sample from the log
