srchsgp Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 (edited) Hi guys, I am trying to burn an iso file with image burn at 2x. It performs the first phase of burn and just before verify the disc is ejected with a message that its expected in slimline laptops and asks me to close the drive. But after closing the drive it never recognises the disc and keeps giving me a MEDIUM NOT PRESENT message. Using a Verbatim DVD-R disc. Can someone help plz Below is the log file Thanks I 20:23:01 ImgBurn Version 2.4.3.0 started! Cynthia Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, srchsgp! I 20:23:01 ImgBurn Version 2.4.3.0 started! Tried with the latest version 2.5.0.0? There is also a later firmware version for that burner. http://www.firmwarehq.com/Sony/DW-Q58A/files.html

mmalves Posted July 28, 2009 Posted July 28, 2009 ImgBurn shows what your drive is saying, so it's your drive that isn't recognizing the disc. Have you tried a lens cleaning disc on that drive?
