Sgttoaster Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Hi, I tried burning an Xbox360 game with IMGBurn using Memorex DVD+R DL discs. I burnt the disc to 100%, and it seemed like a first-time success for a new user of IMGBurn. However, it asked to put the disc back in so that it could be verified...at least I think thats what it wanted to do. Here's the log to the burn: I 19:08:26 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 19:08:26 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium x64 Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 19:08:26 Total Physical Memory: 4,191,744 KB - Available: 2,344,380 KB I 19:08:26 Initialising SPTI... I 19:08:26 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 19:08:27 Found 1 DVD
Cynthia Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, Sgttoaster! Have you tried the 2.4x write speed?
Sgttoaster Posted July 30, 2009 Author Posted July 30, 2009 Hi Cynthia, thanks for the welcome I tried using 2.4x write speed like you said and ended up having the same problem. I don't know if it's because I'm burning on my laptop because it asks me to put the disc back in so that it can be verified. This laptop is only a year old and is pretty well-equipped. Cynthia Posted July 30, 2009 Posted July 30, 2009 Looks as it doesn't like those Ritek discs. Perhaps try with some Verbatims?
Sgttoaster Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 So thats the only things wrong that you can see? I just need to get some verbatim discs and hopefully that will solve the problem?
Cynthia Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 If I'm not mistaken, that burner is in a laptop and is a "slim" type model. Based on posts in this/other forums - it's trickier to get good burns with such a type of burner compared to the "regular" full height burners. Normally Verbatim works best out of the available double layer media on the market with most burners - but the only way to know for sure is to try. Other than that - I can't see any "wrongs" in the settings based on the log.
