ballin1 Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 For some reason i cant get the wmvs ive burned to my dvd to play in any dvd players. The videos show up when I put the dvd in my laptop and open windows media player but when I put them in a dvd player I only get an error like there are no videos on the dvd. Do I need to covert them or what? Thanks for all the help.
Cynthia Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, ballin1! Most stand alone players will require that the files on the burned disc is in DVD video format. You could use this program to convert the source file. http://www.dvdflick.net/
ballin1 Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 Ok so i downloaded dvdflick but what do I do now? I dont see what you use to convet files?
ballin1 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 ok so I converted my wmv using that program and then took that file from where i had it saved and then burned that file and still nothing happens. The file still wont play on my dvd player. Any other suggestions?
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Can you post the burning log from that burn? Main Menu -> Help -> ImgBurn Logs
ballin1 Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 I figured out what i did wrong and got it to work thanks for the help.
spinningwheel Posted August 2, 2009 Posted August 2, 2009 Would you care to share whatever you did with the rest of us?
ballin1 Posted August 2, 2009 Author Posted August 2, 2009 So after I converted the file it gets saved to the specified folder on the bottom of the program. When it gets saved it goes DVD>dvd>AUDIO_TS VIDEO_TS. When you add it to imgburn you need to add the file dvd and not go into the folders and look for the specific wmv. Just add the whole folder. Before i tried adding the specific file and not the dvd folder. Hope that helps.
spinningwheel Posted August 3, 2009 Posted August 3, 2009 ballin1; Thanks for updating what you did to overcome the problem. Every solution made by a contributor to the forum helps with noobs that really read the forum before posting their questions...
