Burning DVD-RW without closing the disc?

Just wonder it that is possible because when I've burned a movie on an DVD-RW it closes it and I cant format the disc anymore. Anyone?

If the drive supports the media properly, you should always be able to erase rw media. It's nothing to do with it being closed or not.

 

What happens when you try to perform a full erase?

I don't understand why? I've reformated many DVD-RW's after burning a movie on them, (used a lot for testing).

 

Can you give us something to work with? Error? just can't do it? what programme you're trying to format it with? What type of drive you have? Media type? etc.
