schem Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi I have searched but can't find my issue addressed. I can burn 2-3 copies with no problem. If I burn more than that, I get a i/o error. If exit imageburn after each burn and restart, I have no errors. Please help! ImgBurn.log
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Hi and welcome to the forum, schem! Is it always the same disc id/discs that fails? (Disc ID: TYG03) / (Disc ID: MCC-004-00)
schem Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 Hi Cynthia Either will fail. I have tried to limit speed to 16X but makes no difference. It never happens on the first or second write. Its only on multiple writes over 3. Thanks in advance Schem
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Could be the chipset drivers of the mother board. The only way to rule out the burner as the culprit is to put it in another computer. I have the 216 model and have burned several in a row here without issues (6x speed) and it sounds odd that the burner should be the real issue.
schem Posted August 1, 2009 Author Posted August 1, 2009 would I be wise to try the MS default drivers for the chipset, and if so, which drivers are they?
Cynthia Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Perhaps try on a more Windows tech based forum to find out the best drivers for the mother board. Have you tried the 2.5.0.0 version of ImgBurn? There is also SP3 of XP out now.
