avi to iso, then burn with imgburn

Hi, i'm new here so be gentle

 

I have been using imgburn for a long time, to burn a dvd format file i just use 'build' mode, but how do i convert an avi to iso so i can then burn to disc?

 

Any help would be much appreciated

I guess you want to be able to play the burned disc on a regular DVD player?

 

If so, you need to convert the avi file to DVD Movie files first. Here is one free program that can do it.

Hi Cynthia thanks for your quick reply, yes i need it to play in a regular stand alone player, i have used pretty much nearly all the programmes to convert avi to dvd, (my fave is convertx, where i convert to hardive then burn with imgburn), but i was wondering if the new version of img could convert to iso or dvd before burning.

No, ImgBurn can't convert avi files.
