mmalves Posted August 6, 2009 Posted August 6, 2009 I 16:02:26 Destination Device: [0:1:0] SONY DVD RW DW-Q30A YYS1 (E:) (ATA) Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished). You might also want to try burning at 4x or 6x. If that still doesn't work, try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. By the way that doesn't seem to a be a genuine Verbatim disc
spinningwheel Posted August 7, 2009 Posted August 7, 2009 I 16:02:26 Destination Media Type: DVD-R (Disc ID: UME01) (Speeds: 4x, 6x, 8x) They are made by Nexxtech out of Hong Kong.... ...not Verbatim.
ednb Posted August 8, 2009 Author Posted August 8, 2009 Thanks for your advice. Firmware update and a clean got me burning again. Interesting about the DVDs. I got them when I cleared out my late brothers house so there is not much that I can do about the fakes - at least they work!
