I set the program to burn 2x and the media is 1x-16x JVC and it comes up and burns at 4x even if I set to 1x. I have attached the log.

4x is the only speed your burner recognizes for those discs, so that's the only speed it will burn them at.

Thanks I figured it out as well. I had some 4 year old Fuji DVD's that work great.
