tnix Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 (edited) I would like to burn a Vista repair disc (not an install disk). How do I set up the Advanced section? I know I need to check the "make bootable" box but thereafter, no clue. This is for an ISO file. Thanks! TNIX Edited August 19, 2009 by tnix
mmalves Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 The ISO should be burned as it is. Load it in Write mode and see if has ISO9660 (Bootable) filesystem.
tnix Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Thanks. It does have the file system= ISO9660 +udf . So I need not add any advanced settings (like "make bootable")? Tnix The ISO should be burned as it is. Load it in Write mode and see if has ISO9660 (Bootable) filesystem.
mmalves Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 If it doesn't say bootable after the ISO9660 bit then the disc isn't bootable. You'll need to edit the ISO image with another program to add the boot image, or if you want to use only ImgBurn, you'll need to mount that ISO to a virtual drive.
