mossman70 Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Hi, Sorry if this has been answered before but I did my best to check I have been using imgburn for many years and as its such a great program I've never had any major problems, if there has been anything it was sorted out from just reading this forum. My prob at the moment seems to be the new discs I bought, I usually buy verb's but thought I would give Aone 4.7 DVD-R (16x) a try as they were cheaper but have the same Disc ID, MCC 03RG20. Well I tried to burn a DVD file and as the below log shows, I'm getting invalid address for write with Failed to Write Sectors 768 - 799 - Reason: Power Calibration Area Error also. I have checked with Nero Disc Speed and it shows that the write speed is 18x (not the 16x as stated) and gives me no slower burning speeds. I tried to lower the burn speed for the disc in Imgburn but again gives me the below error. Am I thicker than a whale omlette or is it something I'm missing ???? Thanks for any help, mossman70 I 21:34:40 ImgBurn Version 2.4.4.0 started! I 21:34:40 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 21:34:40 Total Physical Memory: 2,095,916 KB - Available: 1,672,592 KB I 21:34:40 Initialising SPTI... mmalves Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 Update ImgBurn. With ImgBurn in Write mode and one of those blanks in the drive, please copy and paste here the text shown in the Information box.

mmalves Posted August 20, 2009 Posted August 20, 2009 I think you should return/exchange those discs, because your burner doesn't seem to support them. As for the Media ID they could be fakes.
mossman70 Posted August 20, 2009 Author Posted August 20, 2009 mmalves, Will do thanks for the help. Mossman70
