I have Verbatim discs and my drivers are updated, yet this error occured on 3 separate cds. please help.

The best thing you can do is buy an external drive.

 

If yours won't even burn onto the best DL that money can buy, what use is it?!

 

You could try a lens cleaning disc in it and perhaps also the 8x Verbatims (MKM-003-00 dye) but I wouldn't hold my breath... laptops drives are all pretty rubbish and the Matshita ones are some of the worst.

It's something between your drive/firmware/media combo... it's impossible to say which at this point.

 

As I mentioned before, try cleaning the drive.

 

After that you'll have to just attempt to change one or more of those 3 things to correct the problem.

 

Look on the packaging of your Verbatims and see where they were made. What does it say?
