Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out

Hi,

This is my first time using ImgBurn (I'm trying to change from nero) so I hope this isn't a stupid question? I've checked the FAQ and had a search around but havn't found an answer yet - if I find one in the meantime I'll edit or remove this post.

I'm trying to write a ISO image to a DVD but right at the end of the copy it says synchronise cache failed! - Readon: Session Fixation Error Writing Lead Out

I'm using Verbatim disks, not sure what else is relavent but ask away if I've left some important info out.

Thanks for any help - the log file is pasted below:

Did it Verify OK? You could try with Taiyo Yuden 8x (TYG02 dye) DVD-R blanks. You could also try a lens cleaning disc on your burner.

Hi - thanks for the reply.

It never got any further after the last message in the log, at the bottom of the imgburn main screen it said Device Not REady (Medium Not Present) so I took the disc out.

Should it have some sort of progress bar while it's verifying?

I got these discs because my maxell ones wern't working and everyone was saying that Verbatim were the best - reading around a few forums people are saying it might be old hardware? My burner is very old so maybe a lense cleaner or new burner might be the answer? I can't test that now though - might be able to get a lense cleaner from work Tuesday.

At that stage ImgBurn should be showing a message telling you to re-insert the disc for the verify stage. As for your burner, if a lens cleaning disc doesn't help then you should start looking for a normal-size burner in an external enclosure of your choice.

You could also try converting it to a proper liteon model - that would have better media support in the 'newer' firmware.

Hi,

I'm a bit confused about that, according to device manager I have a sony DVD RW DW-U18A which exe should I run from that link I've unzipped it and there are several dir's

CG2B

CG3B

CG3E

cg4e-r2

cg5e

CG5G

each dir has two exe files in? Sorry for the dull questions I'm a bit new to this!

edit - never mind I've read it again now - thanks - I'll give it a try today.
