LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 It's a combination of your drive/firmware/media. You should change one of them in the hope it'll rectify the situation. Cleaning the drive might help a bit too - as could selecting the other supported write speed - i.e. 4x
knight806 Posted September 1, 2009 Author Posted September 1, 2009 The only firmware I can find for my drive is 171F, which is the current firmware it has on it. Is there an update for it that I am missing? I am cleaning the drive right now, most of the space is taken up by what I am trying to burn. Thanks for all the help so far.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 1, 2009 Posted September 1, 2009 If there's no firmware update available, it just means you only have 2 variables that you can change - the drive and the media. Your drive dates back a fair few years now so it's probably about time you got yourself a new one anyway!
