Slower than normal write speed

When I write an ISO file to disc, I was always getting MAX burn of 8.0 or thereabouts. Now that I have upgraded to 2.5.0.0 (the most recent version) my write speed will only go to 4.0. If i revert back to 2.4.4.0 I can once again resume burning at 8.0. Wierd I think! I am using Memorex DVD+R media (8X and 4X speed disc). i have a 8X DVD drive GSA 4084N on my HP laptop. Any ideas why the write speed drops to the 4X on the new version? Erich

Any log from the 2.5.0.0 version you can post that shows some info about your system?
