Hi and welcome to the forum, Ivion! :)

There is a later version of ImgBurn.

Can you see the burner in Windows Explorer?

How is it attached? Internal cable/USB/FireWire?

If you mean is it in the program files directory than yes.

Attached? The disk is in a dvd writer/reader.

Wow you just got 0 for 2.

You could have warned us that you're a super newbie.

If you open up 'Computer' from the start menu, do you see your dvd reader/write drive listed?

Is your drive (i.e. the dvd reader/writer) physically inside your computer or do you plug it in via a lead? (i.e. is it an internal drive or an external one).

Do you have a desktop pc or a laptop?

Ok so there's a problem with either your drive or your system config.

Do you have any idea what 'Device Manager' is? If so, look in it to see if you dvd writer has a yellow triangle next to it.

If you don't, try using Google to find out.

Just quickly though, right click that 'Computer' entry on the start button and select 'Properties'. Click 'Device Manager' in the Tasks list on the left.

See if you have a 'DVD/CD-ROM drives' entry. If you do, expand it by clicking the little '+' symbol.

Let us know what you see.
