kevfranchisehan Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Hello everybody, im fairly new to the scene of burning but today i installed imageburn in an attempt to burn some some games. anyway im going to get to the point, i looked through the posts and saw that some other people have similar problems. my problem is that after i load the image, it doesnt let me burn it due to "no reference position found". my log looks like this: I 16:00:56 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 16:00:56 Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic Edition (6.0, Build 6001 : Service Pack 1) I 16:00:56 Total Physical Memory: 456,460 KB - Available: 72,416 KB W 16:00:56 SPTD can have a detrimental effect on drive performance. I 16:00:56 Initialising SPTI... I 16:00:56 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 16:00:56 Found 1 DVD
kevfranchisehan Posted September 5, 2009 Author Posted September 5, 2009 i forgot to add that i have an internal drive, and i see how the log updates for other people after it says operation started but it doesnt for mine, when i load the game.
mmalves Posted September 5, 2009 Posted September 5, 2009 Your drive isn't correctly recognising the disc. Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner to see if it helps, but it would be better if you could buy a new drive to replace it (I've looked around and many people had problems with that drive especially burning dual-layer media).
