I know you see a lot of the same problems up here, and I really appreciate everything you all do! I wrote last week that I was getting an I/O error when trying to burn something. I was using TDK DVDs and was told to switch to Verbatim, and also to try to clean out my drive. I got some Verbatim DVD and cleaned my drive again, and this time it gave me the I/O error at 1%. Here is the log:

The 4x write speed could be worth a try. Other than that, as you have tried all the tricks in the book, only one remains, get a new burner.
