mmalves Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 Try a lens cleaning disc on that burner, and if it doesn't help then you should start looking for a new burner.
hallo Posted September 9, 2009 Author Posted September 9, 2009 i didn't clean the lens and i tried to burn a cd and the burning was successful what do you think of that ?? if the dvd drive is dead isn't it supposed to fail this burning as well ??
mmalves Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 CD burning and DVD burning are very different things, and your burner should be able to do both, e.g. I have a Samsung SH-S203B 20x SATA burner that can burn single and dual layers DVDs just fine (the burn quality is good) but isn't reading any kind of CD media at all.
