Try a new disc, that ones size doesn't look quite right.

Update the firmware on your drive too.

I've updatet the firmware, thanks for the link!

Ok, I managed to make one copy, using a fujifilmdisc -- No probs at all, it plays smoothly in my dvdplayer!

I wanna make another, using the sonydisc.

I takes 15 minutes to detect the device, and when it does, it seems to be formatted whilst they are empty discs.

The gentle program asks me to do so (formatting), but this fails...over and over.

I never had any program what so ever with the fujidiscs.

What to do now?

I seem to understand by reading the forum that there are huge qualitydifferences in between discs, but -like I said- I never had any problems with Sony in the past...

That disc isn't a DVD+RW rewritable disc, so it doesn't need formatting. It seems the drive is incorrectly detecting the disc.

With ImgBurn in Write mode and that disc in the drive, please copy and paste here all the text shown in the Information box of ImgBurn.
