mmalves
I 02:42:10 Destination Media Type: DVD+R (Disc ID: SONY-D21-00) (Speeds: 2.4x, 4x, 6x, 8x)I 02:42:10 Write Speed: 4x Try a lens cleaning disc on that drive. You might also want to try burning at 6x, 8x or 2.4x to see if you get a better burn. If after all that it still doesn't work, try with Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden blanks. senioor
I tried the lens cleaning disc, and actually it worked! (though when i use DVD+R it works in a wired way: it burns it and then tells me that it's failed and ask me to reput the disc and burn it again and THEN it works?!) but i guess it's ok thanks alot. by the way how did u now it's from the lens ? mmalves
Slim burners have their lens more exposed than normal burners and, as such, they tend to get dirty pretty easily. Would you mind posting the log of that burn you said there was an error?

mmalves
That's a good burn without any errors. If by error you mean when ImgBurn shows a message asking you to close the tray then that's because it'll verify the disc against the source image to confirm it was a good burn or not.
