I was burning a 360 iso this afternoon, apparently the disc burned just fine, until it was time to finalize the disc, according to imgburn it couldn't finished it and i thought i ended up with a coaster, but decided to see if the disc worked anyway, as a matter of fact it did.

So i dont know if something went wrong, i would like some help to know what caused this, if it has some significant effects on the disc or in a nutshell, what the hell happened.

Heres the log:

I 19:55:04 Destination Device: [0:0:0] TSSTcorp CD/DVDW TS-H652L 0603 (E:) (ATA)

I 19:55:04 Destination Media Type: DVD+R DL (Disc ID: RITEK-S04-66) (Speeds: 2.4x)

Update your burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot after it's finished) and it should help getting better quality burns. If you still get errors you should try with Verbatim 2.4x DVD+R DL blanks.

Did you Verify that burn? If not then you should do it manually.

Not to thread jack or anything, but what does Verifying the burn do?

For some-reason I get like 10 different errors and tonight I got like 2 errors about finalizing disk.

The Verify process compares data on the burned disc against the source image: if they match then the disc is good; if they don't match (or there's a read error/etc) then the disc is bad ;)

ImgBurn wont read my burned games so I cant verify. Maybe its my drive -_-

Also I have no more Verbs so I was gonna try and erase one and then re-burn it but it just goes through the "Logic Unit in process" or whatever and at 99% it freezes and switches to No Media

I updated the firmware as told and tried it again. Same results as before. I use Ritek media because where i live its the only thing that you can get, and even like that, they are hard to come by.

I 19:03:39 Write Speed: 2.4x

Try at 4x and 6x, since your burner might be able to do a better job at those speeds. If it doesn't work then I guess you should be looking for a new burner

But, doesnt RW mean rewriteable? All my DL disks say RW on the side
