Hello, could use some help. I am getting an I/O error that reads:

Interpretation: Power calibration area error

If i restart my CPU, for some reason i have no problem burning. If i use the program once, i get this error message, then need to restart PC again.

Any idea's whats causing this? Thanks in advance!

laptop drives are rubbish

matshita drives are rubbish

RITEK-S04-66 is a cheapo DL dye. Read this: http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=8000

Your best chance for consistent/decent burns on your drive is with the MKM-001-00 dye media (as mentioned in that topic I've linked you to)

I have a VAIO all in one desktop PC. My drive is a Blu-Ray/DL DVD drive.

Is it the drive causing this error or something else?

A firmware update could improve support for the media you're using, but since there are no firmware updates you'll need to use different media or get an external burner that can burn your blanks

What are some good quality, but reasonably priced drives? Thanks!

The newer internal models by Pioneer and Optiarc seem very good. You could get one of those and put it in an external enclosure of your choice.
