LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 You're using junk media. Update your firmware. http://www.firmwarehq.com/LG/GH22LS30/files.html Stick with v2.5.0.0
mizugetsu Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 but i never had this problem until i tried 2.5.0.0 and formatted my computer
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 What controller is your drive connected to? If it's an intel one, install the latest Intel Matrix drivers from here: http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/imsm/ What I said before still stands though.
mizugetsu Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 i have done none of what u said and have gotten to I 09:26:35 ImgBurn Version 2.3.0.0 started! I 09:26:35 Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 2) I 09:26:35 Total Physical Memory: 4,192,440 KB - Available: 2,867,960 KB I 09:26:35 Initialising SPTI... I 09:26:35 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 09:26:35 Found 1 DVD
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 I don't know what you've done but you can't turn it off. Seriously, the stuff about the firmware, updated ImgBurn and updated drivers are good/valid recommendations, just do them! They'll increase your odds of getting right through the burn.
mizugetsu Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 TOOLS > Settings > General Tab> uncheck sync build/ write/ discovery opt. either that or there was never an issue i also changed the compatability mode to XP SP2
LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Yup, those are nothing to do with anything. Compatability mode is also pointless. If you didn't want to listen to any advice, why did you even bother coming here? All you've done is make me waste my time... so thanks for that.
mizugetsu Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 yeh don't worry i won't bother again also you got some sort of referal deal with verbatim or somat coz the number of ppl you've told to buy them surely at this point has become fairly profitable for you
Paladin77 Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) DID u freakin look at the Media section to see why the verbatim is the best kind of Media. Its not the verbatim per say as a brand (I personally don't have it here) its the damn dye. Also Show some damn respect to the author of a great tool which is offered to you for FREE (you would otherwise pay big bucks to get a similar commercially bloated tool). Bear in mind he took from his own time and effort to help you out and support you when he really doesn't need to take this crap from you. He gave you tips to improve your burn, update your drive, and computer yet you chose to disregard all his advice. The least you can do is say thank you and go on your way.
