Getting unexplained Errors

Hello, i am new to the whole burning thing, but i know HOW to do this... but for some reason im getting this error message all the time.

Here is the log, so you dont need to ask.

There seems to be a A117 version of the firmware.

4x is the lowest speed you can burn with.

 

If that also fails - try with a cleaning disc and if that also fails - replace the burner.

well, i updated it.. now i get a different error even before it starts.

Sounds as it's time to get a new burner.

 

You might have better luck with the older 2.4x rated Verbatims. I guess your current ones are rated 8x.

I have that one and it seems to be a nice burner. It's SATA conneced and your old one is PATA/IDE. You do have SATA connectors in the computer?

err its a negative on the SATA... but is it not possible to buy like external ones? i really dont care how it looks i just want it to work -.-

Can't say I'm a big fan of later Samsung models. I have a Samsung S223F and that one is a joke.

yeah perhaps, but it is one of few i can actually afford, other models are like twice in price... and i cant spend alot on stuff so i really must find the cheapest option... and unfortunately even if samsung is kind of a joke, its the one i can actually buy. but the question remains, will it work? just an USB connection right?

If you have USB 2.0 connection it will work to connect it.

ya, i have alot of USBs in it atm.. and i just tried some other things except games and it seem DLs just dont work no more -.- so im gonna get a new one. even though its a shitty one, its still a working one.
