Susan Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 I added the following post to an existing thread about the "illegal mode" error, but the author of Imgburn replied that I shouldn't hijack, so I'm starting a new thread (even though it seems to me that it's the same topic). I'm getting the "illegal mode for this track" error message, which seems to be related to the fact that my audio stream is .mpa, not .ac3. My version of ImgBurn is completely up to date. I use Windows XP professional, sp3, and am trying to write to a +R disk. I used Isobuster on a disk that I originally had created myself (so copyright is not an issue), demultiplexed with Vobedit, the remultiplexed/authored with Ifoedit. When that didn't work, I remultiplexed using Muxman. My Muxman VIDEO_TS.ISO file is playable on my compute, with the video and audio components in perfect sync. However, Imgburn still can't seem to burn it to dvd. I'm using the "build" function, with "device" as output. I tried to build from just the VIDEO_TS.ISO file, but that created only 6KB of output. Then I tried to build the dvd from the VIDEO_TS folder, and that created the error message. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions about how to overcome this? Thanks, Susan LOG IS BELOW, I COULDN"T FIGURE OUT HOW TO ATTACH IT MORE EFFICIENTLY. I 20:05:47 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! I 20:05:47 Microsoft Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600 : Service Pack 3) I 20:05:47 Total Physical Memory: 2,086,892 KB - Available: 1,342,796 KB W 20:05:47 Drive D:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size. I 20:05:47 Initialising SPTI... I 20:05:47 Searching for SCSI / ATAPI devices... I 20:05:47 Found 1 DVD
mmalves Posted September 26, 2009 Posted September 26, 2009 Try burning at 4x or 6x, and if that doesn't work, then try a lens cleaning disc on that burner.
