LIGHTNING UK! Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Try burning at 8x, it'll be easier for your network to keep up and you'll get a better quality burn. (CMC dye discs are not ones I'd recommend anyway) Everything is messed up when it tries to verify that disc, the drive didn't burn it very well. If you're going to be reading from network drives a lot, you might like to enable buffered I/O in the settings.
Teoh Han Hui Posted October 1, 2009 Author Posted October 1, 2009 (edited) Thanks! It succeeded at 8x. Is it safe to enable Optimal Writing Speed? I don't mind losing some performance if it will cut down on the number of coasters. EDIT: The Pioneer Optimal Writing Speed Utility doesn't recognize my drive. Edited October 1, 2009 by Teoh Han Hui
Cynthia Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 Think it will only work on 116/216 & 117/217 models. Don't be sorry. That function is a joke.
