How do I erase something on a disk that says it can't be erased

How do I erase something on a disk that says it can't be erased? I mean I know its possible i just don't know how to i am using a 4.7gb DVD-r from gigaware that has a wii iso burned onto it. I want to know if anyone knows how to erase the iso.

You can only erase DVD-RW/DVD+RW/DVD-RAM discs. DVD-R is write once media.
