lastjedi Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 i have a optiarc bd-rom drive for my hp laptop and i tried click on book and changing it to dvd+r dl and it wont let me it says failed unknown,do i have to have a dvd+r dl in my drive first to be able to change this?im new to this so i dont know but it wont let me change this.also all the categories none of them say optiarc they have samsung and lg and nec and lite-on but none say optiarc.
mmalves Posted October 2, 2009 Posted October 2, 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optiarc - you should use the NEC tab of the Change Book Type window, although that burner automatically booktypes DVD+R DL media to DVD-ROM so you don't need to worry about it
