Power Calibration Area Error - Solution

Ok just experienced this error myself and have tried all the suggestions in the many posts regarding 'Power Calibration Area Error'.

I've used various speeds (up to x8) same error.

I'm using the Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL discs (Made in Taiwan) - same error.

 

Solution - I put in another identical disc - started working no problems and burned.

 

Reason - Think even the best discs can still have a flaw on them somewhere, so if you get this error eject the disc and put another one in.

Good post Beko, you didn't beat the thread to death with how you can't believe this or that, you followed your own common sense and figured it out.
