Rockfella Posted October 3, 2009 Posted October 3, 2009 Hi all, my friend whom i've moved from NERO to the excellent ImgBurn got this error message while burning a blank CD. Please suggest what could be the problem. Thanks in advance. PS: There is high probability that the optical drive maybe not working properly but i wanted to make sure about what the exact problem is.

Anyway, tell him to update his burner's firmware (remove any disc and close the tray before updating then reboot the computer after it's finished). If he was burning at the default MAX speed it might be worth trying the next burn at 16x or 8x.
