Question using IMG Burn with Fab (Disc space error)

Hi Guys

I have been backing up some of my movies of late, from my HD to Disk; my normal process is to run them through Vobblanker first, then Shrink, before using DVD Fab in conjunction with IMG Burn engine.

Like below

[HD]---[VobBlanker]---[shrink]---[DVD FAB/IMG Burn]---[Disk]

Hi and welcome to the forum, Icewarrior! :)

ImgBurn can't compress source material so it burns it as it is.

In you case the source is to big to fit on DVD media. A Blu-ray or HD-DVD disc is needed.

Yes i know ImgBurn can't compress.

The source is aprox 4GB, the Disc capacity is 4.6 GB, IMG Burn is reading my file size inaccurately, hence the warning message.

Why are you using DVD Shrink if you're burning dual-layer media? Unless you're changing something in the DVD contents, you could probably ditch DVDFab too and use ImgBurn directly to burn your disc.

I was not burning DL media, I was trying burning a film of around 4 GB size more like SL media, but when I tried to burn it, I was getting a warning notice from IMGBurn, informing me that my file size was to high, for my Disc capacity.

Problem solved now anyway, because I had other folders on my desktop, IMGBurn was calculating the data from them to, given the reason for the high file size calculation.

Thanks.
