SteCFC1 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Hi all, got a problem with burning my xbox 360 game. I'm in Imgburn and I have the image loaded ready to burn to the drive, NEC AD-7200A, however when I go to burn it the write option is greyed out and it says 'disc not empty' at the bottom. I'm using Aone discs Sorry if I'm being vague, I'm new to this so I don't know what more to say, but i'll be here most of the day so if you need anything else i'll get it you Thanks
mmalves Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Copy and paste here all the text shown in the information box (right-side of ImgBurn's window). A copy of the text shown in the Log window would also be helpful.

LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Try another disc you know that works. Same info?
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 So if it won't read any discs properly, either the drive is messed up or the drivers are returning bogus info. Can you try the drive in another PC? Have you tried a different cable?
SteCFC1 Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 I can't try the drive anywhere else, house is full of laptops and I bought an internal one for my desktop If it isn't resolvable I might just have to buy an external writer from somewhere
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Did you test all discs before? As in original CD's, DVD's as well as blank / previously burnt CD's and DVD's. And they all do the same thing? Do you have any bootable discs at all? like an OS installation one? Try and see if the bios can boot from such a disc, that would tell us it's likely to be a driver issue.
SteCFC1 Posted October 7, 2009 Author Posted October 7, 2009 I tried a CD in the drive and no details were shown, then the drive disappeared from the list of drives available. I uninstalled the drive to see if it helped and now the driver for my writer cannot find the actual writer in my computer, meaning I can't reinstall the writer. The writer did work previously because I burnt a CD to a disc using iTunes and the writer.
