galacticninja Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 I have recently switched the CD/DVD drive emulation software I use to Virtual CloneDrive because of possible CD/DVD burning issues with Daemon Tools ( http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?showtopic=11238 ), I had backups of copy-protected CDs in .MDS ( Alcohol 120% media descriptor file - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MDS_file ) and .MDF formats which I would like to mount to a virtual drive but Virtual CloneDrive does not support them. Is there a way to convert MDS files ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MDS_file ) to a format that can be read by Virtual CloneDrive ? Also, is there an equivalent media descriptor file format for ISO, CCD or any image format that Virtual CloneDrive supports? If there is, please suggest good programs that are preferably freeware that can convert to that format.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 VCD is a very basic bit of optical drive emulation software. You require advanced stuff and so perhaps it's not for you.
ssjkakaroto Posted October 10, 2009 Posted October 10, 2009 If you're on XP you can use Daemon Tools 3.47, which doesn't use SPTD.
