biscuit Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 I LUK, thanks for yuor ImgBurn. I've a problem with DVD-RW . If I want burn an ISO image, ImgBurn erase DVD-RW and at the end burning start with "LEAD IN" and at this time ImgBurn freeze. WinXP don't respond, it's not possible to close ImgBurn or shutdown my PC. I've wait 2 hours ...............(sigh) The computer is completely freeze, only solution is turn OFF power supply. The problem appear with every re-writable DVD (Verbatim,TDK,Fuji), problem don't appear with recordable DVD (Verbatim,TDK,Fuji). I've IBM Netvista Pentium 4 2.6Ghz, 512MB ram, windows xp sp2 and Liteon 811S (firmware HS0R). Thanks, any help will be appreciated
LIGHTNING UK! Posted April 6, 2006 Posted April 6, 2006 Try a full erase on its own before attempting to write anything to the disc. See if it then also gets stuck. Unfortunatly, if any I/O gets stuck, the very nature of SPTI means that all communication stops - that's just how windows seems to work. As soon as the drive responds again, ImgBurn will kick back into action. It's just sitting there waiting patiently for it You could try looking for a chipset/ide/ata driver update, that may help fix the problem.
