The computer is completely freeze, only solution is turn OFF power supply.

The problem appear with every re-writable DVD (Verbatim,TDK,Fuji), problem don't appear with recordable DVD (Verbatim,TDK,Fuji).

I've IBM Netvista Pentium 4 2.6Ghz, 512MB ram, windows xp sp2 and Liteon 811S (firmware HS0R).

Try a full erase on its own before attempting to write anything to the disc.

See if it then also gets stuck.

Unfortunatly, if any I/O gets stuck, the very nature of SPTI means that all communication stops - that's just how windows seems to work.

As soon as the drive responds again, ImgBurn will kick back into action. It's just sitting there waiting patiently for it :)

You could try looking for a chipset/ide/ata driver update, that may help fix the problem.
