I burned a bunch of DVDs three months ago (like 50) and they all work great and I haven't touched my burner since. When I went to burn these DVDs I used the same pack as I did three months ago and the same program and everything. I have no idea what's changed. It's on an external harddrive - do you think it will work better if I move the files I'm burning to the main harddrive and then update my burner's firmware? Thank you! mmalves Posted October 12, 2009 Share Posted October 12, 2009 Check if your computer has USB 2.0 ports. You can use SIW to find out (look in Hardware -> Ports -> USB). If it does then you should check why your external HD isn't using USB 2.0 (old external enclosure/adapter or a bad/incompatible cable are common causes).
