I do not often use DL disks, but seem to have a lot of difficulty, not with writing, but with the verification. Th log (attached) shows: I 18:12:50 Verifying Session 1 of 1... W 18:31:40 Retry Failed - Reason: Timeout on Logical Unit I have just finished trying a burn going from files and then from an image I created with ImgBurn. Both failed in the approximately the same place (visually the same, but I didn't save the earlier log). The disks seem to work, but the verification does not succeed.

I had attached the log to the earlier message, but I don't see any way to access it now from the message board. I believe this was the the second burn attempt. I do occasionally get this message on all my drives (5 different ones). I don't know if its related to a particular batch of dvd's or not. Since it always passes when I click the try again, I was not sure it meant any fatal error, although I also don't truly understand what it means other than a calibration of some signal failed, and then passed on retry . Or does it only get one attempt and the retry just continues? When using the 4.7 dvd's the calibration error does not result in a verify error, at least as near as I can remember. I will try setting the max speed to 4 or 6 next time I try a DL. Thanks for the product, it has been very nice to use with SVD2DVD to author disks. Edited October 14, 2009 by dallas8101
