Can anybody help me with this problem i keep getting when i want to burn a xbox 360 game on my samsung external writer SE-S084C on a Verbatim 8x DVD+R DL disk, i've updated my writer with the latest firmware from samsung.com but keep getting the following failure:

Your system and drive don't like each other.

 

It times out way too early (after ~25 seconds) and basically disconnected itself (or the OS disconnected it).

There might not be much you can do about it except change the drive's enclosure or change your USB controller (buy a new PCI card one)

That isn't the latest firmware.

 

Anyway, you're having a semaphore timeout error, which is usually caused by an incompatibility between your motherboard's USB chipset and the external drive's USB chipset. Search this forum for semaphore timeout and you'll find lots of suggestions on how to fix it. Also try burning at 4x or 6x next time.
