Bureji Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Alright, so maybe someone can help me out here. I'm trying to burn 360 backups, and while they come out okay after burning, I notice that I get a 'Write Speed Miscompare' error in the log. Turns out for some reason either my drive or media isn't letting me burn at 2.4x and automatically speeds it up to 4x. Now, at first I notice that the log says that the media I'm using only supports 4x... which is weird, considering that according to a couple of places (one of them being here) that the MKM-001-00 should burn at 2.4x. Heck, it even says '2.4x' on the box. Now, maybe something funky with my burner is causing it to say 4x, but either way, it's an issue. In general, if someone could just help me out in getting these discs to burn at 2.4x, I would be greatly appreciative. Thanks in advance, guys. mmalves Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 Your drive and its firmware only support burning that media at 4x, and since it verifies OK, there's no problem there. There are other burners that can burn that media up to 8x, and it's up to the burner manufacturer and/or firmware developer to select which speed(s) will be available. What's the real problem you're having?
