There is a few months, i succeeded in burning 2 "DVD+R DL Verbatim 2.4x - MKM 001". Yesterday, i wanted to continue and tried to burn 2 more discs. So before testing again, I read all the topics concerning this kind of issue ; i cleaned the drive (with a cleaning DVD) ; i reinstalled the firmware of my driver, and i tried to burn a 2nd disk (same spindle), writing at this time at 1x, but the result remains the same (and the 2nd log is quite identical). What do you think about it ? I need your advice. Should-i try another test (3rd coaster ??) or should-i think to buy another burner tomorrow ? Thanks a lot four your help. Kind regards, Michael
mmalves Posted October 20, 2009 Posted October 20, 2009 That burner is very old and if it can't burn the best media on the market then it's as good as dead. Luckily for you a new burner is pretty cheap these days By the way, you should install service pack 3 on your Windows XP
