Hi, I thought I would throw this out there... I searched the forum but didn't see, what I think anyways, applies. Probably due to lack of knowledge...

Here goes - I tried using the imgburn software to create a dvd from an img file and I get the error on my bluray player 'cannot play format'. I have not been able to successfully burn vobs to a disk and have it play in this machine using any software. Although if I take the img, iso etc and convert it to an avi, I can use ConvertXtoDVD to create a dvd that works in my bluray player. Same Memorex media and either single or dual layer.

There is probably some setting I'm neglecting or something so..... Can anyone help at all?

Thanks

Is there anyway to recall a log from a previous project/burn?

sounds like an incorrect file system.

post a log of the burn please

Nevermind, here it is... I created an .iso from TSVIDEO files then burned them to a dvd...

your burn failed to verify, that usually means it was a bad burn, try again at other supported speeds

verify is a very important part of the process, if it can't verify, it probably won't play in a standalone player

Ok, I burned with a slower speed and it looks like it was verified... Still doesn't work on my bluray or dvd player. Again, I don't know much about this but scrolling through the log, it shows it is PAL format... Shouldn't it be NTSC? The iso was created in ImgBurn from tsvideo files from a forum. What can I do to burn a dvd to run in my players?

verify is a very important part of the process, if it can't verify, it probably won't play in a standalone player

it shows it is PAL format... Shouldn't it be NTSC?

In what part of the world do you live?

Yes, it could stop the playback if your stand alone player doesn't support the TV system.

Canada. So it should be NTSC... Is that a function of the tsvideo vob files or a setting in ImgBurn I can set when converting to iso or even a setting when burning the dvd???

Thanks

It is possible to convert the DVD files to NTSC but you will need to use another program as ImgBurn is a burning tool. It's a pretty time consuming task and the easy route is to get a DVD player that plays both TV systems.
