johnj21 Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I work IT for a government agency, and we're just now getting computers with vista on them (government is slow). All of our new machines are unable to burn with any burning software. I'll post my imgburn log below. What's interesting to me is that it says it faile to write to sectors with negative numbers. I wouldn't think this is normal. any ideas? I 13:21:45 ImgBurn Version 2.5.0.0 started! LIGHTNING UK! Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 It's perfectly normal. LBA 0 = 00:02:00 (HH:MM:FF) When burning a CD, you start from 00:00:00 which is of course then a negative LBA. If you burn another new blank disc, do you get exactly the same error? That's normally one which follows a 'real' error (i.e. a 'Write Error'). Any idea which chipset the computer's motherboard uses? Intel, Nvidia etc? You might need to update the Intel Matrix drivers as it looks like the controller is set to AHCI mode.
johnj21 Posted October 28, 2009 Author Posted October 28, 2009 Yeah it's an intel chipset. I'll look into updating those drivers, thanks
