mmalves Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Try burning at 16x or 24x with a brand new blank disc to see if it works.

mmalves Posted November 3, 2009 Posted November 3, 2009 Either your burner really doesn't like the dye/ink used to manufacture those CD-R blanks or there's something messing up the communication. Can you try a burn at 16x with Test Mode enabled? It would also be worth trying with Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, or at the very least anything else than CMC Magnetics.
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 4, 2009 Posted November 4, 2009 That new 118 model seems to be prone to a lot of problems. Pioneer should have stuck to using their own drives rather than using LiteOn's!
CYPH Posted November 9, 2009 Author Posted November 9, 2009 (edited) Thank you for your help everyone... my "new" Pioneer / LiteOn 118 burner does NOT like that brand of discs. The funny thing is I have an old Sony drive from 2001-2002 that burns that same brand no problem lol. You would think that newer optical drives could handle burning various CD-R brands Lightning UK - Thank you for creating ImgBurn! Edited November 9, 2009 by CYPH
