* First I tried to burn at 16x and got the error then without exiting imgburn and inserting a new blank disc, I tried to burn at 24x but imgburn kept saying "Device Not Ready (Logical Unit is in process of becoming ready)". After a reboot and inserting a new blank disc imgburn attempted to burn @ 24x and then got the error...

Either your burner really doesn't like the dye/ink used to manufacture those CD-R blanks or there's something messing up the communication. Can you try a burn at 16x with Test Mode enabled? It would also be worth trying with Taiyo Yuden CD-Rs, or at the very least anything else than CMC Magnetics.

Thank you for your help everyone... my "new" Pioneer / LiteOn 118 burner does NOT like that brand of discs. The funny thing is I have an old Sony drive from 2001-2002 that burns that same brand no problem lol. You would think that newer optical drives could handle burning various CD-R brands :/
