ImgBurn I/O Error? (Xbox 360 Error)

Ok So I flashed My Xbox 360's Hitachi 46DG Drive with iExtreme Firmware 1.51 since that's the highest Hitachi's can go. Now, once I got the flashing all done I went to buy my media, I decided on Memorex DVD +R DL. They looked fine and a lot of people have told me the obtained great success with these DVDs.First I started off with a HL Data Storage (LG) GSA-H21L Drive it was able to burn DVD +R DL According to VSO Inspector! So I pop in my Memorex's and what do you know it reads it as a blank disc! Great, so I go into ImgBurn set my Layer Break to 1917360 and burn using the .dvd file! (Sorry I don't have the log!) Well it told me it was working up until the filling Lead-In step took about 3-5 minutes and then I/O errors went crazy! I didn't have a clue what was going on. I didn't want to make another coaster so I decided to try burning a game at my friend's house. His CPU has a HL Data Storage (LG) GWA-4166B Drive according to VSO Inspector his drive is capable of Burning DVD +R DLs ALSO! Ok so we try burning the same game on his drive (It was Borderlands FYI) And everything was looking good it got past filling Lead-In and burned at 2.4x up until about 30% once again I/O errors came up all 20 of them, and another coaster! I gave these LG drives one last chance and tried again on the GWA-4166B But no luck this time after the filling Lead-In stage I/O errors :( But then a beacon of hope! His fathers computer! It had a Lite-On drive (not sure about model :| ) and we tried burning Borderlands on it, and what do you know IT WORKED! We started jumping in joy! Anyway I went back home and tried my GSA-H21L and no luck I/O errors :(

So now that that's out of the way... HELP!!

Here's a new log using the GWA-4166B

I'M NOT BUYING VERTABRIMS!

So what exactly do you want from us?

Try this firmware update if you want but you might end up just buying a new drive.

http://www.firmwareh...166B/files.html

p.s. there was no need to make a new thread - I've merged them now.

Well I didn't actually want a solution I'm sorry My post was a little confusing. What I really wanted to know is WHY they weren't burning, with that knowledge I would've known how to solve the problem. Well after about 10 minutes of looking at the Log I gave it seemed that the lowest speed my drive burned at was 4.00x most people suggest 2.4x because it won't skip sectors and corrupt or give you errors, well a friend of mine traded me a newer LG drive that works fine it burn nice. It's a HL GWA-4165B. And the reason I wasn't going to buy Vertabrims is because I can't get them shipped where I live and the only store that sells them, sells them for $55 for 20 so F*** that I'm good with my Memorex's <3 they work just fine and if they ever stop working THEN you can say I told you so :P

Your discs are made by Ritek and rebadged by Memorex, at one time they were among the best in quality and production; now they just plain suck most of the time. When we recommend Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden it's because they are the best available, and we can see that there is no sense in buying crap that is either going to fail at the initial burn or will lose data over time and turn into a worthless disc. Since your new drive burns the Ritek media fine for now, enjoy it and happy burning. When it fails, as it will eventually, try the Verbs or TY's before throwing it out.
