LC1 Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 Yesterday I installed ImgBurn and enjoyed 8 of 8 burn discs that played perfectly! Today I cannot get one to work. lol What I worked on yesterday: Extracted .ISO files of movies on my EHDD to make them into Video_TS files. Converted those V_TS files from PAL to NTSC. Converted back the V_TS to .ISO then burned them all successfully! They played perfectly on my HD DVD player! Now today, I've tried just burning a few different Video_TS files I have on my EHDD and all burned successfully, but will not play in my HD dvd player. I get a box that says 'Cannot play this format.' I've also tried creating (Build) the Video_TS files into an .ISO file, but those burned discs didn't work either. 6 of 6 will not play, I rec'd zero errors with writing them and I'm at a loss as to why. ImgBurn 2.5.0.0 is set to all its defaults, I've changed nothing. Thanks in advance for any help!
mmalves Posted November 5, 2009 Posted November 5, 2009 If it burned and verified OK then the problem might be in the source VIDEO_TS folders.
LC1 Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 If it burned and verified OK then the problem might be in the source VIDEO_TS folders. I thought that might be it, so I looked over the folders and think I know why they didn't work. I presumed that ImgBurn converted V_TS files some how to ensure they were good. That's what I get! LOL At least now I know which type of file sources to stay away from. I burned more perfect discs yesterday and absolutely love this program! Great job developers!!! Now if I could only find this good of a program for other vid file types. LOL And thanks again for answering my silly question!
mmalves Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 DVD Flick and ConvertXtoDVD can convert pretty much any video format to DVD-Video (i.e. VIDEO_TS)
LC1 Posted November 6, 2009 Author Posted November 6, 2009 Although I really liked the price (FREE), I didn't care for DVD Flick. I even stopped burning completely on my first attempt at it, because I wasted so many discs. Unlike ImgBurn where once I started, it is pretty much flawless and so easy to use. Perhaps I need to take the time to get to know the program, as I didn't on my first attempt due to frustration. I've heard good things about ConvertXtoDVD, which is a bit pricey, but I'll check into it. Thanks again!
LIGHTNING UK! Posted November 6, 2009 Posted November 6, 2009 DVD Flick doesn't burn, it passes its output to ImgBurn.
